We feel there is hardly a higher recommendation for our Cretan Liquid Gold Organic EVOO than the fact that it has been Nigella Lawson's luxury favourite olive oil since 2013!

"This is my luxury fave - Liquid Gold Organic.." Twitter @Nigella_Lawson

Indeed, Nigella has rated it as one of her 5 kitchen essentials! It is also a favourite of masterchef winners Thomasina Miers, Irini Tzortzoglou and is a long-term favourite of many of our regular and loyal customers.

  • We always sell the latest harvest oil, and the current crop is from the November 2021 harvest from our Mirabello Estate in Crete; the koroneiki olives are hand picked just as the olives are turning from green to black, and pressed the same day.
  • The acidity is low, less than 0.4%, demonstrating the quality of the olive oil
  • This oil is high in polyphenols (400-600mg/kg), which are natural anti-oxidants
  • Ideal for dips and salads, but also one of the best oils to cook with
  • Certified organic by the UK Soil Association, licence number 30695,

Like all unfiltered oils, the oil may appear cloudy at cooler temperatures and have sediment at the bottom; this is entirely normal and does not affect the quality or use of the oil; unfiltered oils generally retain more polyphenols than unfiltered oils and have more flavour.
