• Haraki is produced by an artisan distillery in Crete, founded and run by the Patsakis family. They are the longest established distillery of Cretan Raki, and our relationship with them dates back to 2017. We are the first suppliers in the UK to make this delicious drink available.
• This delicious and pure distillate of indigenous grapes represesents 30 years of experience in artisanal distillation, and the fact that they are among the few distilleries in Crete that produce and bottle their own raki, guarantees the premium quality. 

• HaRaki is a pure grape distillate, made from grape marc (leftover skins, seeds, pulp, after the crushing of grapes for wine). It is made every autumn follen distilled to produce a strong spirit. The spirit undergoes 8 cycles of distillation, with no additives and no added sugar.

HARAKI means rock in the Cretan dialect. It’s name and trademark refers to the hawks and eagles who nest in the rocks of “Psiloritis”, fly over the distillery and connect us with the free Cretan Spirit! RAKI HARAKI: the soaring spirit of Crete. 

 Cretan raki has come to represent the famous Cretan hospitality “filoxenia” as long as it is served along with the treat to the guests. 

• Introducing our organic Raki  “BIORAKI”, specially produced for us by a traditional organic vineyard and distillery in central Crete. 
• This delicious and fiery Raki is a pure double distillate, made from grape marc (leftover skins, seeds, pulp, after the crushing of grapes for wine).
• It is made fresh every autumn.
• This Raki is made from indigenous grapes usually a blend of “Tahta”, “Liatiko” and “Kotsifali”
• Alcohol Level 38%

Vinification/Ageing:The two varieties are harvested and vinified separately.
Pre-fermentation maceration is followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

• Fermented and macerated in stainless steel vats, aged in used French barriques for 12 months and a further 6 months in bottle.
• A bright, deep morello cherry-red, dark berry fruits and spices
• Aromas of blackberries, raspberries and ripe strawberries with just a touch of aniseed and spices such as clove and cinnamon. Blackberries, mulberries, raspberries, ripe strawberries, a touch of aniseed, cinnamon, fine tannins, round and velvety mouth.
• Elegant structure, balanced acidity and very ripe, elegant tannins. The finish is moderately-long, dominated by red fruits and followed by sweet vanilla and black pepper.
