The Pithari is a classic Cretan design which dates from the Minoans, 5000 years BC. It was traditionally used as a storage jar, for olive oil or wine. Pithari make beautiful indoor or outdoor planters - or their timeless design can be simply decorative. Made by a master potter in central Crete using local clay. These pieces are frost proof down to -18C. A drainage hold is present in the base of the jar. 

Two sizes in stock - 30cm (height); and one left of 60cm
