Entirely hand made in Greece; the eye is made of a solid gold rim with a bead of mother of pearl and turquoise through the entire eye; the bracelets come in two sizes: Large eye (2cm length, bracelet weight 2g), Medium eye (1.5cm length, bracelet weight 1.7g) and in rose gold or yellow gold

The evil eye (or 'mati' in Greek, meaning 'eye') is a superstitious token believed in Greece and in other parts of the Balkans and near east, to protect the wearer from malicious thoughts or wishes; its origin is ancient, possibly originating in Minoan Greece. Typically the eye should be blue, to repel evil thoughts from blue eyed people, as it is thought that blue eyed people are particularly prone to 'give' the evil eye! It is often combined in Greece with a cross (to represent orthodox christianity).

This incredible set of jewellery has been painstakingly hand made specially for us by one of the few jewellers who are licensed to make Byzantine museum copies in Greece; this is a set of earrings and a bracelet made out of solid silver with 22 carat gold highlights; the centre pieces comprise Majorica pearls, each one surrounded by 21 real emeralds and in turn surrounded by swarowski crystals. Hand made rhodium plated sterling silver rings studded with champagne pave diamonds. Three designs to choose from with different shapes and diamond content. The diamonds are a pale champagne colour, which is difficult to demonstrate clearly on a screen. The rhodium plating prevents oxidation of the silver, and gives the ring an inherent elegant dark silver tone. These are our own designs.
