Entirely hand made in Greece; the eye is made of a solid gold rim with a bead of mother of pearl and turquoise through the entire eye; the bracelets come in two sizes: Large eye (2cm length, bracelet weight 2g), Medium eye (1.5cm length, bracelet weight 1.7g) and in rose gold or yellow gold

These pieces are superb quality and would make a very special gift, eg for 18th or 21st birthday, Christmas or christening.

The evil eye (or 'mati' in Greek, meaning 'eye') is a superstitious token believed in Greece and in other parts of the Balkans and near east, to protect the wearer from malicious thoughts or wishes; its origin is ancient, possibly originating in Minoan Greece. Typically the eye should be blue, to repel evil thoughts from blue eyed people, as it is thought that blue eyed people are particularly prone to 'give' the evil eye! It is often combined in Greece with a cross (to represent orthodox christianity).

The necklace is adjustable, but the beaded section of double strands is approx 44 cm long; the stones are AAA++ grade, , unheated, and absolutely stunning. Hand made rhodium plated sterling silver rings studded with champagne pave diamonds. Three designs to choose from with different shapes and diamond content. The diamonds are a pale champagne colour, which is difficult to demonstrate clearly on a screen. Stunning Silver Olive leaf and olive stone bangle, hand made in Greece, adjustable. The bangles are made of high quality silver plate on bronze, non allergenic. Each leaf shows the detail of the veing and central rib . There is a matching pendant. These pieces are modern versions of ancietnt Greek jewellery items that are on display in the Benaki museum in Athens. Hand made by Calliopi, a jeweller in Athens.
