These fabulous whole kalamata olives are presented in a luxurious dressing of Greek organic extra virgin olive oil with wild oregano, rosemary and a touch of red wine vinegar. These jumbo olives are hand-picked in the groves around Sparta, the region famous for its Kalamata PDO olives. The olives are then 'de-bittered' for 5 months in sea-salt brine, without prior slitting (unlike some olives which are slit to speed up the process!). This means the flavour is completely preserved within the olive. The olives are then transferred to the extra virgin olive oil dressing and can be kept for months prior to opening.

Kalamata olives are a delicious, incredibly healthy snack. They are packed with antioxidants and are great as an appetiser, meze, or added to salads. Olives can also be added to stews and other dishes (such as pizza and pasta) but best to use the pitted ones for this.
