Discover Cretan Liquid Gold Organic, our organic extra virgin olive oil from north-east Crete, harvested at veraison for expressive aroma and flavour. We hand-pick our Koroneiki olives in November as they begin turning from green to black, then cold extract within hours of picking. Enjoyed by Nigella Lawson, Irini Tzortzoglou and Thomasina Miers, it brings distinctive Cretan character to your table.
Harvested at veraison — chosen for aroma and taste
Timing is central to Cretan Liquid Gold Organic. We harvest at veraison, the stage when olives begin changing from green to black, choosing this moment to capture the balance of aroma and flavour we seek in our oil. This deliberate picking stage is a defining part of its character.
A favourite with celebrated cooks
Nigella Lawson and MasterChef winners Irini Tzortzoglou and Thomasina Miers are among the cooks who enjoy Cretan Liquid Gold. Bring that same oil to your own kitchen, whether you are preparing a special meal or simply dipping warm bread.
Award-winning flavour
Cretan Liquid Gold Organic won a silver medal at the London International Olive Oil Competition in 2024.
Flavour and character
The November 2025 harvest offers notes of olive leaf, wild herbs and artichoke, with a clean, peppery finish. Its balance of green flavour and peppery character makes it an expressive finishing oil as well as a versatile cooking companion.
Natural polyphenols
Alongside its distinctive flavour, the November 2025 harvest is labelled with a polyphenol content of 591mg/kg, expressed as tyrosol, at bottling, and acidity of 0.4%.
In your kitchen
