This is the latest harvest November 2023 from our Mirabello Estate in Crete. A superb oil, it has won Silver medal in the London International Olive Oil Competition, Chef's favourite in The Times Newspaper (Food and Drink weekend section 6 Jan 2024 and a finalist in the 2023 UK Soil Association Boom ("Best of Organic") Awards (across all groceries, not just olive oil).

Available in 250ml, 500ml and 5 Litre cans

An organic koroneiki variety olive oil with low acidity and high healthy polyphenols. Olive oil of this quality is extremely hard to find this year due to extreme weather conditions which have affected global olive oil production and prices. Due to the fact that we have our own meticulously managed and irrigated private olive estate, we have maintained our standards despite the odds. We are doing our best to keep prices as low as possible.

The koroneiki olives are hand picked just as the olives are turning from green to black, and pressed the same day. The resulting oil is:

A deep golden colour, beautifully aromatic with fruity floral notes, creamy full texture, beautifully balanced bitterness and pepper.
The acidity is low, (<0.5%), demonstrating the quality of the olive oil
This oil is high in polyphenols (433 mg/kg), which are natural anti-oxidants
A very versatile oil which can be used on salads, as a dressing, for drizzling, for dipping and for all kinds of savoury cooking. Contrary to many myths, good olive oil rich in antioxidants is perfect for frying in.
