Tsipouro 'enetiko' is a traditional Greek spirit made from grape pomace; produced by Callicounis, the oldest distillary in Greece this recipe originates during the Venetian occupation of Greece. ('enetiko' means 'Venetian')
Tsipouro is a grape pomace based drink that is very strong (38% alc.) and produced by distilling. Traditionall drunk with mezes (appetisers) or with food. In certain areas of Greece it is also known as Tsikoudia. The Callicounis tsipouro is beautifully smooth and aromatic.
We are fortunate to be the sole suppliers in the UK of this very special brand of Tsipouro, which is made by arguably the best (and certainly the oldest) Greek distillary, located in Kalamata, and still a family-run business.
