  • A fantastic organic and biodynamic wine, made of grapes grown in the family owned vineyards.
  • A blend of assyrtiko and the revived ancient grape malagousia
  • A light gold wine with fresh citrus salty and crisp apple freshness. The assyrtiko is easy to pair with, matching salads, seafood, chicken. The stone fruit character of Malagouzia provides just a touch of sweetness. Also great with Thai food!

Moraitis winery has been in existence for 4 generations, just over a century. Situated on Paros island in the cyclades. The vines are unirrigated, and virgin in that they are un-grafted indigenous grapes. The vines are grown in the traditional basket fashion, not clilmbing, but grow along the ground, so as to protect them from the fiercely strong Meltemi (summer winds).

The wine is made from a blend of two wonderful indigenous grapes - the famed Assyrtiko with its natural acidity and minerality, and the mellower apricot like Malagousia. The malagousia grape was re-discovered in the last 30 years and is proving to be a great success.
